Lunate and perilunate dislocation

• PA view and lateral view of the wrist, showing break in the gilula lines, Carpus is foreshortened with overlapping of capitate and lunate. The lateral view shows dorsal dislocation of the capitate with the lunate lying neutral with in lunate fossa.

Types

• a/c <8 weeks: CR/OR and later reconstruction
• c/c > 8 weeks: PRC
• c/c with arthritis: Arthrodesis

Progressive arthritis caused by SL interval disruption with a flexion deformity of the scaphoid

Stages

• 1: arthritis b/w Radial styloid and scaphoid
• 2: arthritis of entire scaphoid fossa
• 3: CL arthritis
• 4: generalised arthritis
